Challenges At DSS

Come and join our designers for some wonderful Challenges in our Forum to help you get those photos scrapped. The challenges listed below are brand new for September and will run until the end of the month. Some of our new designers are hopping on board with new challenges! ATC Challenge hosted by one of our new designers KatLen. ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards, check out this thread for more about the ATC. Your topic: Teaching and Learning. Holidays Galore hosted by one of our new designers Renee of QueenBrat Designs. Choose one of her highlighted holidays to scrap your layout. What a great list of events to choose from! Include it All Challenge is back and is being hosted by Panda Bear Designs. Just like the title says, include everything in the free kit provided! More ideas in the thread, click here now! Make Your Own Siggie Challenge...offers a different free mini kit, from a different designer, every month. Get the kit for free by promising to make and post one signature tag with it. You can use your tags in any forum, gallery or even in your emails. Thank you Kathy's Scraps for the use of "Silver Anniversary." Mask Challenge is new for September and is hosted by Eileen from Happy Scrap Arts. She will give you a free mask every month to help you create a layout. Directions on how to use the mask are in the Mask Challenge forum threads. Pot Luck Challenge is hosted by Jodi from Throwing Some Scraps Around. This is the color palette...now go to work and make some papers and elements. Anyone can participate! Let's all learn together! Questions allow in this forum too! Quick Page Collection Game is a game with a free kit, from a different designer, every month. Get the kit for free by promising to make and post one quick page with it. Come back and collect all the QPs to scrap your pages. The kit featured for July is "Rich Earth" by Scrappy Cats. Quote Challenge is hosted by Chris of Heavenly Scraps. Check out the word art she has created for you to use in a layout. The theme this month is Love. And what a cute prize for participating! Template Challenge is hosted by Jodi of Throwing Some Scraps Around. This is getting to be one of our favorite challenges. Get the free template, shown here, make a layout and post it. Easy! White Space Challenge is new this month and is hosted by Chris of Heavenly Scraps. Chris has provided us with a template to use in scrapping our layout.

Gallery Walk by Aunt Digi

Aunt Digi has enjoyed looking through the gallery at DigiScrapStation.com, and here is what she has found for us. Click on layouts to leave some love in the gallery. Well, it's time to be thinking "new school year!" How fast this summer has gone and now the kids are going back to school. Many new little ones starting for the first time. First day at school...I remember my first day at school, each of my children's first day and this year my grandson's first day at school. It is such an exciting and sometimes bewildering time for our little ones. I am sure many layouts will appear in our gallery with those special first day back photos displayed. Be sure to post as many as you can and I will pick out a few for the next newsletter's Gallery Walk. In line with the thoughts of back to school, I have found a couple of quick pages from our gallery, from the August Quick Page Collection Game. The kit was provided by HeavenlyScraps and is called "Too Cool for School." The QP downloads are still available for FREE in our forum, if you wish to get them. There is also one from Kazzyau, below. I think both of these are great layouts to use and fill with photos of first days back at school. There are 12 other QPs you can download for back to school! Link is in above paragraph. I found a really great layout from Panda Bear Designs which had been posted for the August font challenge here at DSS, in the forum. It is full of color and life, and of the essence of a new year, new class and starting back to school.
